To be a God is to be a powerful being. Gods are not omnipresent, nor omnipotent. They walk this earth, often ruling their own kingdoms.

Here are the most prominent ones:

Verchiel, Radiant

She reigns as the queen of the heavens, bearer of light in darkness and hope in despair. Wielding a radiant greatsword, she once fought valiantly to defend the light — until she was mortally wounded by Mastema.

Now, her body marked by wounds that bleed light, she guides the angelic domain from with her strategic genius, no longer taking part in battle herself. Her life is sustained by a magical artifact crafted by Thalor. Yet she grows weaker each day, and the angels dread the inevitable fading of her light.

Mastema, Moloch, The First Demon, Lord of Hells

Mastema is the First Demon. Above all else, he craves power. He devours the hearts of his enemies to grow stronger, commands legions of lesser demons, and even the most ambitious of his kind tread carefully in his presence.

Over millennia of battle, he has slowly replaced parts of his body with Infernal Metal — an endless pursuit of ever greater strength.

He has never lost a battle, and those who stand against him are doomed to fall.

Worshipers and Cults: While Mastema is primarily revered by demons, he has mortal followers who seek power through his dark blessings. Cults dedicated to Mastema are brutal and warlike, engaging in blood sacrifices and rites of strength to honor their lord. They believe that by offering the hearts of their enemies, they can earn a fraction of his power and his favor.

Proserpine, Queen of Lament

Proserpine, the Queen of Lament, is a wraith of sorrow and despair. Her form is a tattered, shadowy figure that drifts silently through the air, chilling the souls of all who encounter her. Her eyes glow with a pale, ghostly light, and her voice is a haunting whisper that echoes with the regrets of countless souls.

She was once human — a great sorceress and musician. Her ascension to godhood happened long ago, and has since passed into legend.

She claimed the Grey Desert as her realm: a place where every soul goes before passing further on. She seeks out those who fear death, fear the unknown, those who died with regrets. She offers them false hope, promising immortality, deliverance, revenge, and closure in exchange for their servitude. Though she is rarely worshipped in life, many turn to her in death, believing her promises out of sheer desperation.

Levahiah, The Weaver

It is a giant spider, residing in the deepst caverns of the world. Over the ages, it has accumulated great knowledge, inscribing it into the webs it weaves.

It offers the knowledge to those who enter its domain - but it always takes its price for it.

Iemshim, The Dancer

They are a mysterious figure, a deitiy of dreams. Their realm is deep in a labirynth of mysterious caverns. They appear in dreams.

Thalor, The Eternal Forge

Lilith, Lady of Rot

(this is not a complete list)

The Old Gods

They were worshipped before any empire formed, before any history was written, before any mortal ascended to godhood. They are believed to be the true Gods — the ones who created the world. Whether they exist at all, however, is far from certain.

There is no single religion dedicated to them. In every corner of the world, the rituals, the temples, and the prayers take different forms. Yet the names and domains of the Four Gods remain the same.

Those who worship them will sometimes have their prayers answered — though this may be the work of lesser spirits, or simply the result of magic accumulated in places of cult.

It is said that the Four Gods visit the world they created, disguised as dragons, to admire their work and to help those in need.
